It is seasonally harvested from the base of the Himalayas and grows back each year. It is then hand process and made into pulp, the same way it has been made for centuries. \n\nPinto papers are wonderful to work on and specially made in a very specific way in only a few studios in Nepal. The mottled surface goes through the entire surface of the paper, though the two sides are not identical.
